John Hillstrand Bio: Capt. John Hillstrand (age 45) has a love for life on the edge that doesn't end when he gets off the boat. He rides a Harley Davidson that is rigged with a nitrous boost that will add 300hp of acceleration at the touch of a button. He’s a leather-jacket-cowboy boot guy, but his friends say he is really a teddy bear. He is not afraid to speak his mind and he runs a tight ship. John is divorced, has 2 children, recently became a grandfather (twice) and spends his time between Seattle, Wash., and Homer, Alaska. He has a great sense of humor and is very generous. When John was asked if the guys talked much on the boat he said: “Not while we are fishing, but off the deck we are a bunch of hens.”

    OH MY GOD! I almost had a heart attack .. IDK if it was fake or if it was for real but to come out afterwards soaked in water as cold as ice I'm sure it wasn't just for the show right?? These guys are just too funny but I almost choked on my drink while watching this last episode! Even though I also believe I heard Johnathan's voice screaming MAN OVERBOARD!! MAN OVERBOARD!! Idk what the hell hapenned but I AM DAMN GLAD HE WAS OK !!

    I also have to agree with orangegold and BanditsWench! I watch every week and I can see helping a friend but you have to hold your own in life and Captain Jonathan definatly holds his own and then some. Not saying it would happen because Captain Phil is an awesome and outstanding guy but look at what happened with (Greenhorn)Captain Blake. You have to look out for yourself and your crew out there!
