| SYNOPSIS: After the harrowing rescue of a nearby boat's fallen deckhand, Captain Johnathan Hillstrand on the Time Bandit recounts the rescue attempt he made nine years ago that ended in tragedy. To calm down from the adrenaline rush and get back to normal, he and his crew do what they do best: start dropping gear. They've been pulling weak pots all season; however, after they start hauling in record-breaking numbers, their focus shifts to the friendly captain's wager made before the season. The Time Bandit is back in contention, and the one skipper hot on their heels is Captain Blake Painter on the Maverick. One bad string has thrown off Blake's numbers, but when he finds out he's doing better than both Captain Sig on the Northwestern and Captain Phil on the Cornelia Marie, the young rookie skipper remains confident that he can pull out a win. After a record off-load last episode, Captain Sig is right back on the crab, hauling up huge pots of keepers. If they can keep up the killer pace, Matt Bradley will make his court date and avoid jail time. Onboard the Wizard, the crew is struggling to make their final off-load. Captain Keith Colburn needs his whole team in action, so he pulls a loose stitch out of injured engineer Lenny's finger and sends him out on deck. The end of the king crab season is drawing near, and all across the fleet captains and crews are digging in and starting the long grind to the finish line. |
