"seasons" vs. crab types
Apr 22 2008, 7:30 PM EDT I don't understand how the types of crabs change with the "seasons". When one "season" of one type of crab ends and then within a month the guys are into another "season" but fishing for another different type of crab...what happens to the type of crab from the first season...and where do the other types come from? Why don't they have different types of crab in the pots at all times? 9 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

You see them catching Baradi (sp?) a lot during all the seasons, and I'm sure they catch the wrong types of crabs off and on during the seasons....they throw the ones they're not fishing back cause they'd be fined if they kept them in the tanks. I think they use the same equipment cause it looks like there's little major difference between all the species, and it sounds like crabs migrate in packs more or less, so in all odds if one moves out of an area another moves in, or just into certain areas ans stuff...if that makes sense? 3 out of 3 found this valuable.
