Capt Sig
May 1 2008, 5:22 PM EDT After viewing a host of these episodes, I've come to the conclusion that Capt. Sig would be the one I'd go "steaming" with. Guess we may not see him appropriately with these videos, but I really tend to believe in him. He's quite sharp and aware of what is going on around him. Probably at all times. Forgive him when he comes unglued. It happens at sea, believe me. I was in the US Navy for 8 years, about 4 at sea. Lots of "sea stories" but the one that comes to mind was the time that my shoulder got locked between a stantion and bulkhead while in the N. Atlantic and heavy seas. Everyone from the top down became reactive and was going to cut me out. "What about the ships' integrity?" I remarked. Fortunately about that time, the ship took another biggie roll and released me from the demise. Whew! All kinds of stuff happens at sea! I take this opportunity to just say that these guys really do "live on the edge". When they say it's really great to be going home, believe them! Just look at their faces when they pull into port! 13 out of 15 found this valuable. Do you? |
