May 8 2008, 1:52 PM EDT start light, OK? Go up to the Raritan Bay...up between the Amboys on a miserable rainy day. with some fishing gear. Rent a skiff and take it out from 9-3PM. Take it out in the middle of the bay. Drop anchor. Stand up between the gunwhales and see how your balance is. See if you get sick. Meanwhile take a cement block tied to a rope >> lower the rope to the bottom and raise it back to the boat over and over, for ...lets say...a couple hours... with your bare hands. You are supposed to be catching SOMEthing, right? Cast and reel in , change bait and cast out again every 15 minutes. Wait for the (typical) afternoon wind and that comes down the Bay. Deal with that for awhile getting wet. Come back to the dock and stow everything. Now, If this was no problem...Belfort has a small fishing fleet you can probably pay the crew of the Dianne Lynn a fee to go out on their next trip to the continental shelf for three or four days on the Atlantic....In the summer....when its nice.... multiply that experience by 100 = Alaska Crab fishing 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
