These guys are really fun to watch. Andy is such a class act, staying married all those years really shows character, especially for such a nice person, with good looks & talent, on the boat and off. And as for "old hearthrob" John. he's just a hoot and a kick in the pants. Great family. sajsam 11  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

Oh so true. Andy has a sense of humor, but I can sense toughness underneath if the need arises. And he was so classy when he told Johnathan to stop tellin him what to do. Johnathan is a hoot in the pants indeed. Like when he did that jig after beating Keith for the whole kit and kaboodle on the bets. And his laugh is just so funny. However I wouldn't want to get on his bad side any more than I would Sigs or Phils. 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

One thing that impresses me about John is how serious he gets when there is a dangerous situation, such as the ice jams. Also, when he was helping to rescue the man overboard, you could see just how much he does care.Yes, it would be best to stay on his good side. sajsam

Absolutely true sajsam. Johnathan makes me laugh so hard most of the time, but when the situation warrants it, he's all business. And when he helped rescue the guy that went overboard my heart went out to him. He was so cmpassionate and gave the guy hugs and stuff. He does care alot. Yea you can see that if you pissed him off he'd probably chew you a new butthole.

The only thing that could improve the series is if John's son would decide to follow in his father's occupation. That could be most interesting, not to mention fun. Sajsam

Give Scott Hillstrand time. I'm feeling that he's still torn between wanting to please Johnathan and the family business, and being a family man that has a steady future that includes being home every night. He'll do what's right for him. Interesting and fun most definitely. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I saw a woman on the grocery store yesterday with a Deadliest Catch Bering sea T-shirt. I asked her if she bought it on line, and she said a friend gave it to her who is also a friend of Johnathans. Wow! what a small world. I'm glad I live near Seattle where this kind of thing happens pretty often. When I mentioned the show she got all excited and started telling me about all of her favorites. I invited her to come on line and give us a shout. I hope she does. (<: 3  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

Wow isn't that awesome about the shirt, and her knowing someone who's a pal of Johns. And Sig and Edgar live in Seattle so maybe you'd get to get a glimpse of em at a gathering or something. Yes it'd be fun to welcome yet another DC fan. Long live DC and the wonderful Captains!!!!!!!

How exciting is that. It would be great to catch a glimpse of one of the captains. They are very well known because this show is so popular. Everyone I talk to watches DC and it has already been nominated for any Emmy Award, last year. Haven't heard if they got it but if not, their day is coming. Sajsam

I have tried twice to start a thread on crew sightings and got no replys. I ended up removing the thread from my watch list because I grew tired of waiting. I live near Seattle, but I know nothing about where I may be able to see them. I know the Northwestern docks at Fishermans Pier on Seattle waterfront, but everyone knows that. If I was to see Edgar in person, I would @#$%my pants!!! If either one of you (xena & sajsam) know of any other wiki friends who think like wise, or may know where to find them, we may be able to get a new thread going on it. Wadayathink? (<:

Hey newbiegirl and sajsam. I started the thread like I promised. Yet another great subject to talk about. Just added my reply to Edgars thread. Consider yerself counted in. Edgar could win an Emmie all by himself.
I live in CT so I doubt I'd see the Captains anytime soon, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's been lucky enough to see one or all. Don't give up yer thread. A new Captain Sighting thread would be awesome. Let's put our heads together and see what we can do. BWSC I know yer listenin out there. Whater your thoughts?

I feel that Scotty is coming into his own. It showed alot of love and responsibility when he flew back to help Johnathon when Andy had to fly home. Not to mention, he came back for the next season, too. I feel he is going to become a full-time part of the family business. He hopefully sees that he can have a family at home, and still fish. He has his uncle Andy to look up too for that! 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Perhaps there can be more events where the crews are supposed to show up, and someone can give us fans a "heads up". I'll soon visit the new thread you set up, xena. Like you said another great subject to talk about sajsam

You make a great point about Uncle Andy being a great influence on Scotty. It was a loving act for him to return to Alaska to help out his dad. Something may just happen here. Sajsam 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree with ya Catch_Crazed. I remember John sayin that Scotty had to go home coz his wife had threatened to leave him. Hey with a newborn baby and him not there she had an anxiety attack. Hopefully all is well there and he can continue with his dad and uncle. He needs to show Jake Harris how to treat a father.

The Hillstrand Bunch is a close family. We can all see the love and support and comeraderie whenever they're on.
