Why don't we see more of the Hansen brothers?
Jun 22 2008, 2:43 PM EDT Ok I get that Sig is the captian, but come on he is not the only Hansen on the boat. I think we should see more of the other two (especially Edgar). There always stuff about Jake and Josh, it just isn't right. 15 out of 21 found this valuable. Do you? |

Just a guess!"I agree with you April...I would love to see more of the Hansens ESPECIALLY Edgar, but they seem to value a certain degree of privacy in private life, and seem to be the most successful boat crab count wise, and that takes an incredible amount of work. The camera crew is working just as hard to stay out of their way, I would assume. The fact that the NW is assigned the biggest quota shows how great the captain, crew and Edgar all meld together. Edgar seems to be in charge of everything. Being an engineer and a crew boss are 2 big jobs in one and I am soooo impressed with all of them. Keep up the great work guys, you're incredible!!(<: 2 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

Of all they do, their camera time is limited, but in the interest of the Northwestern, I can see their point of view. On one segment of "behind the scenes" the cameraman wanted 2 new retakes, and Sig actually said, "I don't even know what I was talking about, now"., and he didn't seem too happy about it. As much as I love those guys, I can understand. Do you find this valuable? |

The Hansens are a wonderful family, and as accomodating as they are in the show, and at parties and other DC events, I know that they need privacy at some point in their lives to be with family and friends. Hell I wouldn't want a camera crew stuck up MY butt 24/7 and neither do they!!!!!! Maybe we could get DC to do a highlight show of the Hansens. Would that make y'all happy? They have salmon, cod, plus the 2 crab seasons. The only one that matches them is the Cornelia Marie. They're the big dogs as Mike Rowe says. You speak the truth newbiechickie. They were down in Disney World a few days ago premoting the show, and my sister met them and I got to talk to Sig and Edgar on the phone! They are such neat guys. Sig said he was mad at me, because I got to talk to Edgar first. I hope they come back down there next summer. Thats where i'll be! Do you find this valuable? |
